In contrast to the rumours around I have not left the country for Cuba (the most persisting ones are the ones that name my work/thesis as a reason) but instead got the chance to finally again enjoy double-digit degrees below zero. It’s been a while (like 3 years) that I could enjoy cycling on snow in these temperatures and thanks to the massive snow on the weekend (around 15 cm) I can do it again. This time with wheels that are like 30cm in diametre. ;)
Otherwise all is fine. I shifted back one gear with more relaxing evenings and more being in town. Also work got more productive – partly because of this change of speed, partly because of deadline press. So I had today a presentation of some new and nice thoughts including an interactive JavaScript prototype and people liked it, mostly due to the prototype. So that tip I can give everybody that has problems with a negative work environment. Create a nice prototype and people wil be moaning less. ;)
