Quote for Life

Tags:

?If we listened to our intellect, we?d never have a love affair. We?d never have a friendship. We?d never go into business, because we?d be too cynical. Well, that?s nonsense. You?ve got to jump off cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down.?

Nice quote.. not sure about the love affair part though.

The love affair thing… what should I say? Should we call it a bad crush instead? The way I see it, she tries to express that we never just follow our feelings even if we know that it’s not the good thing to do. The question is well, what is the “right thing” to do?

And thanks for the shout. Good to know somebody still reading. ;)

Oh, I am reading too. :)
So, what she tried to say is “We have to listen our heart instead of Intellect?” um,,, jumping from cliff is always very scary. :(

Scary is good and exciting! What is there to loose? :D

Maybe you got gun shot in your heart while you are jumping, and it will take several years to be completely cured. :) And consequently it will make you become more coward in next jump. :-P

Well, in that case you should be afraid of guns, not of jumping.

I really liked Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto in discussing the role of fear in our lives.
