Place found!

So my thesis unfortunately will not be defended in the beginning of march but insted it will be beginning of April. The struggle for finishing it las lasted the last few days and will also last for the rest of Feb. I still want to compete with Gustaf’s challenge to write the whole thing in 4 days (4x24h). So far I used 24h of these (on Thursday) followed by 2 days of brain-cooling-break. He never said anything about consecutive days so I don’t see it as cheating. ;) — read more ›

Good-bye Gothenburg.

These will be my last words posted from my dorm room in Gothenburg and will therefor mark my end as citizen of Gothenburg. The room is cleaned and the keys are ready to be returned. This marks the end of another era and the start of a new one. I have to say a big thanks to Gothenburg and all the people here who made my stay so worthwile and even made me feel at home for the first time in my life. The city is just so cosy and beautiful (except the weather) and I would definitely not mind moving back here some day. and I am totally sure to be coming back on visits. — read more ›

Friday night recap

So Friday night is over by now and it was a pretty nice experience. Besides of the long time spent sitting in the bus I was live in place to congratulate Gustaf, Jon, Matthias and Johan to their successful defence. It was a nice party and it was really nice to be there – made me really glad. And since last weekend I had little time to talk to Gustaf and Jon, I this time had more time for that.
And then in the bus I got to talk to a German journeywoman who was on her way to Hammerfest. The first time that I really got a chance to such a person and it was rather interesting to get a bit of background info. Well, somehow these people seem to have a similar attitude as I have about wanting to roam around and see different places and finance the whole by working. They do this however a bit more puristically. Still impressive and highly tempting and ecouraging to continue… So we had a cup of coffe chatting along while sun rose over Oslo (yes, it’s getting spring and the colours were great) and the city woke up. That was actually a great thing to do (instead of going home and catching up sleep).
So now I have a full and good-weathered day for my use and the plan is to go out into nature for a walk and to take pics, which is why I won’t continue for too long here anymore.
Last but not least I got criticim that I’m using too many TLAs and FLAs making this a nerd blog. While I can’t help the nerd-factor I decided to try to provide tool-tip hints and links with abbreviations. :)
