Yipiie, I survived my first _proper_ conference with a lot of researchers and practitioners, some big names. This is also the reason for the recent stalling of this blog. I intend to pick up the blogging habit of a couple of days ago.
The conference? NordiCHI 2006 was here in Oslo with 5 days of workshops, tutorials, demos and presentations. Quite a lot of people and many interesting people, some of them I even managed to talk to… Unfortunately I cannot say too much of the different talks – mostly because I tried to take pictures of all people presenting. But I saw some really inspiring works and some weaker works. Most valuable was obviously chatting to different people, being introduced and introducing here and there. Kinda fun game. So I got input for eMotion, my thesis and tons of other things.
And then there was our demo which caused a couple of short slept nights, but actually captured the audience. What could one want more?
May my commitment to this community be lasting and valuable.

Congrats on the conference presentation! Some good experience, and from the photos it looks like you’ve got the presentation all under control :-)
Hope the weather starts treating you better wayyy up there in Oslo… Hopefully it’ll get much colder with lots of snow and sunshine in Sweden too.. I’ll be visiting from 1st dec to 9th jan… will be great to be back in Sweden. I don’t know how your schedule is, but hopefully our paths will cross somewhere!
Hope all is well otherwise… any plans post Jan 2007?
