Letters to TIME pt. 2

Tags:

Again, I felt the urge to write a letter to TIME. Actually this urge was there since last week’s Issue on Iran’s president but unfortunately I was too busy. So here is the new letter:

Dear TIME,

By reading your last two issues of TIME with an open mind without our everyday bias one can simply understand how Chavez can dare to call Bush ‘the devil’. One example is the valid claim of Iran to have the right to use nuclear technology to produce power while opposing any country having nuclear weapons. Ahmadinejad states clearly that logic is needed, not war while the U.S. seems to head towards war in order to continue its possibility “to exert its will in the region”. Another example is the problem in Darfur, where the U.N. desperately needs NATO’s support in resolving the issue but neither the U.S. nor its European pet dogs dare to “even whisper about”. And just as Chavez said, the problem is not America, but its president. So what makes us think that only the ‘bad boys’ have hidden agendas? Maybe, to wait with “negotiations until a more pragmatic faction of leadership [...] gains the upper hand” is the only possible strategy.

Best regards,

What scares me most is that all these ideas are already there in the magazine, but the chorus of the media *ahem*propaganda*ahem* kinde makes us blind to see it unbiased. So wish me luck that this one gets printed since I think it actually is worthy.

Yeah, and then did I vote for the elections in Austria today. :)
