So we were yesterday at this (afterwork with) talk by Richard Florida. Was really interesting, well the Swedish shoulder-padding “we’re number one creative country in the world, but no time to lean back” fore-play was annoying since even those people seemed to misunderstad his message – at least as far as I could tell. He seemed to have written a couple of good books, however after that talk I will not buy one since he explained his interesting idea (“The well-being of a region depends on it’s possibilities to harvest its inhabitants’ capabilities and give them purpose.”), which somehow sounds pretty logical and obvious as soon as you heard it, so from there on you can make your own opinion. Then he was talking a bit about the creative revolution that has started a couple of years ago and will change our world again. Hot stuff. So if you have the chance to listen to him somewhere, do it. Really good talker, even if his body language was not that secure. :)
And then there is also a really funny dancing video: ;)
