Once again a lot of time has passed since the last entry and I don’t know where the time disappeared. Maybe in the new omnline gallery software I am using. Maybe at the student conference I was volunteering at last weekend (Feb. 25). Maybe in the time between that I spend mailing different people, organising smaller things and doing other administrivialities. Then we also spent some time on different exercises and paper discussions that actually were kinda useless…. information overload. The course on analysis was pretty boring and useless IMHO – in the same way as economics lectures feel. The project course on IxD will be fun soon since we start now working on the whole thing; until now we only were discussing gestalt, expresstion and other things related to computational objects – waaah. So today we got the assignment for the essay to write about all that stuff, then the bulsh*tting is hopefully cut.
What’s going on otherwise? Well Gustaf and me started working on the inspirational junkyard: www.inspirationaljunkyard.org. Finally we are also part of the IT-Startup-Bubbleburst! I already want to start printing stocks and have such a stock disposer as in the Simpsons. :)
Else? Well, went to take some pictures again. Still we wait for a good sunset. Usually the days here are sunny but clouds in the west, so that we cannot get a nice sunset on the islands. That would be nice. Otherwise spring already had its fingers over the city, but winter is fiercely fighting back in its last breaths. So at night we still have -12°C every now and then. But temeperature tends to rise, days are getting longer and now everybody is looking forward for spring to come. Yay. Even police is getting into spring mood again. So I saw the equitarian police last week on the streets again (really looks awesome) and the bicyclist police yesterday (I’d love to race them).
What more? Huh, had tons to write about but I forgot. Well there’s gonna be another PR event for our programme at a Afterwork here in Gothenburg before a talk by Richard Florida from CMU. Let’s see what they think of RaggaDish and our Boink balls. :)
Then, I was considering to try to publish at NordiCHI, since its co-chair invited us students from SIDeR (which was an interesting experience) to volunteer and since it would be in Oslo in autumn and a great chance to publish my last thesis. Ad propos thesis: I’m now into looking for places to do my thesis, or internship. So if you have any good ideas, let me know please.
So, that’s it. I’m off for lunch. Catchya later.
