Since the beginning of the hype of capoeira (yes, it is a great sport for people who love music and want to become stronger and more flexible) one could spot capoeiristas here and there. At least I remember seeing it in “Meet the Fockers” and “Ocean’s Twelve”. The World Cup was a while ago and as much as I enjoyed some games and criticised other teams (or even mocked at some…) I often enough got the reply “But where is Austrian football?” My standard reply was “It sucks, but I care for other teams.” — read more ›

Found via “User Interface Design for Electronic Appliances”, the book of Baumann and Thomas, a really interesting survey on cultural differences. So Gert Hofstede did objective studies on the topic that I love to explore sbjectively. Really interesting. His page breaks down some cultural differences in numbers.
