advanced salsa course pt.1
According to the “recommendation” of my dear aunt (thank you!) I signed up for a Salsa course a couple of weeks ago. As I live to dance but hate to dance according to rules (except of rhythm) I also did not like the classes too much. Just like she told me I skipped a couple of classes and just did some of the basic classes. Yes, they went well – even if the learning curve was steep – but as I said I found the environment a bit pushy.
Then, last week I staid for a bit longer after the classes, since there is a salsa club. There I met a nice girl that was really fun dancing with. So that hour dancing with her taught me actually more than the two classes before – at least in regard to the dancing feeling. It was real fun.
So today was the last time beginners class, which was the first advanced class at the same time. Quite a few of the people returned and the stuff we learned was advanced but fun as I learned to stop to think like a perfectionist. =) …at least in there. ;)
Anyway, I had to return to the salsa club after class because the girl teaching me salsa last time gave me the wrong number. I was supposed to have a coffee with her last week, which obviously did not work out. I already thought that it was strange as she did not seem to do it intentionally. However. Met her again and she was a bit embarrassed about that mistake. Good character trait there. :) — read more ›
